Did you know that from 1903-1930, the Los Angeles area used to be home of one of the most productive oil fields in the United States? It was a source of inspiration for the film "There Will Be Blood", which in turn is based on the 1927 novel "Oil!" by Upton Sinclair.

Nowadays, Los Angeles is more known as the home of the world's premiere movie and television industry, but there are still places in LA where you can still experience its oil producing heritage first hand.
